A former high-level professional handball player, Julien was listed by the Ministry of Sports among the top athletes under 18 in the sports-study program. As a goalkeeper in the First Division with PSG, he played alongside Olympic medalists Jackson Richardson, Stéphane Stoecklin, and Denis Lathoud.
With a Master’s degree in Information and Visual Communication, specializing in branding and advertising, Julien Janin began his career as a freelance art director, recognized early on by Nathanaël Karmitz (CEO of the audiovisual group MK2).
He collaborated with renowned agencies and creative directors such as Éric Holden (TBWA), Olivier Altmann (BDDP), Gabriel Gaultier (Young&Rubicam) and Anne de Maupeou (CLM BBDO), supporting prestigious brands in their campaigns.
In 2003, he founded his own company, JJ’S PROD, and encouraged by the confidence of Alexia Laroche-Joubert (CEO of Banijay) working with leading European audiovisual players (TF1, Eurosport, M6, France TV, Endemol, Fremantle, Sony Pictures, Banijay, etc.) on high-profile programs such as Star Academy, Miss France, the Football World Cup and the Olympics Games.
The teams at Jean-Paul Gaultier called on Julien to develop their product launch campaign from 2008 to 2015, leveraging his creative and typographic expertise, honed under the guidance of Jean-François Porchez, a pioneer in digital typography.
This collaboration further enriched Julien’s creative expertise and his unique artistic vision. In 2010, Julien shifted his focus to the creation of original television formats, founding the brand Aπ [API], which developed innovative concepts such as The Million Dollar Question (ITV Studio London), Time to Bet (FrenchTV), and CacheCash (Satisfaction Group).
This period also marked the beginning of his collaborations with international productions.
In 2013, Julien co-directed a television series in Indonesia with Dominic Clarisse, founder of Azimuth Adventure Travel and a renowned photojournalist who previously collaborated with the Gamma press agency.
Captivated by Southeast Asia, Julien spent the next five years dividing his time between Paris, Singapore, and Jakarta. Their shared artistic vision led to the creation of K-Merah Prod. in 2015, which has since evolved into KMP Vision.
Under his leadership, the agency stands out for its bold creativity and innovative ability to develop impactful visual and narrative projects for corporations, television, cinema, and advertising.
Originally from northern France, Dominic Clarisse developed a passion for photography at the age of 17.
After earning a scientific baccalaureate, he completed several internships in various photography studios in the Lille region.
He later graduated from one of Brussels’ most prestigious photography schools, where he received solid technical training, further fueling his thirst for photographic adventures.
His first-ever photo reportage took place in 1992 in Western New Guinea (Indonesia), where he documented the ancestral rites of several Papuan tribes in the highlands of Irian Jaya.
His striking images caught the attention of the renowned Gamma Press Agency, which decided to distribute them worldwide. Despite his potential for a successful career in Europe, Dominic chose to focus on the captivating region of Southeast Asia, working on numerous projects that led him to extensively explore the area.
In 1996, he permanently settled in Indonesia and established Azimuth Adventure Travel Ltd., an adventure travel agency. In 2013, Dominic co-directed a television series in Java, Indonesia, alongside Julien Janin.
Their shared artistic vision led them to co-found their own audiovisual production company, K-Merah Prod., in 2015.
Since then, the duo has continuously developed innovative projects for corporate clients, television, cinema, and the tourism industry.
In 2025, they launched KMP Vision, an agency that stands out for its bold creativity and innovative ability to develop impactful visual and narrative projects for businesses, television, f ilm, and advertising.
